Computer Assisted Telephone Interview (CATI) Sites

Our Computer-Assisted Telephone Interview sites are responsible for data collection for more than 20,000 study participants who consented to take part in telephone interviews throughout the course of the 20-year study. The four sites are located at Simon Fraser University, University of Manitoba, Université de Sherbrooke and Dalhousie University, and their work is coordinated by the National Coordinating Centre at McMaster University.

Data Collection Sites (DCS)

Of the 51,338 participants taking part in the CLSA, more than 30,000 individuals have undergone data collection at our Data Collection Sites, which are located in 11 cities across Canada. The Data Collection Sites have specially trained staff including research assistants, medical lab assistants, phlebotomists, research coordinators and interviewers.

Enabling Units

Data collected for the CLSA are managed and stored by the CLSA’s three enabling units: the National Coordinating Centre, the Biorepository and Bioanalysis Centre and the Data Curation Centre.
