CLSA webinar on Feb. 11 examines congregate dining programs for seniors

Tuesday, January 27, 2015

The next regular webinar for the Canadian Longitudinal Study will focus on congregate dining programs at seniors’ centres that can promote nutritional and social well-being.

Christine Sheppard, a doctoral student in the School of Public Health and Health Systems at the University of Waterloo, will describe a research project that involved a needs assessment at a new Toronto-based senior centre to gauge interest and demand for a congregate dining program, and propose recommendations for how such a program should be developed and implemented.

The webinar will be held on Feb. 11 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

CLSA webinars are regular, online presentations from new, mid-career and established health researchers that provide a forum to discuss the latest health and aging research in Canada.

The webinars are geared for students, trainees, researchers and research staff.
