Project Summary

We are currently using data from the Canadian Longitudinal Study in Aging (CLSA), to explore machine-learning models to predict and study successful aging, as it includes a large sample of an aging population with extensive measurements. The new addition of COVID-19 status and symptoms were not a part of our previous data access request, yet successful aging may play an important role in mitigating the subject’s mental health outcomes for elderly patients with COVID-19. In our proposed new study, we will investigate how COVID-19 status and its symptoms were associated with successful aging and the patient’s mental health wellbeing.
