Cardiovascular health in the LBGTQIA2S+ community compared to the heterosexual community using data from the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA) and scoping review of knowledge gaps in health care delivery to an aging minority group

The main objective of this project is to explore cardiovascular health in the aging LGBTQIA2S+ population by undertaking regression analyses using variables collected through the CLSA while adjusting for potential confounders such as mental health outcomes, general physical activity, and behaviors. The next objective is a scoping review of scientific literature to see where the largest data gaps and policy gaps exist. The third objective is to engage a community advisory committee from the minority group in order to give a voice to the rest of the research for this PhD Thesis.
