Project Summary

Using Baseline and three-year follow-up data from the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA), we will examine the association between religious participation and changes in the memory domain of cognitive function in middle-aged and older (45-85 years of age), community-dwelling adults in Canada. We will also investigate whether this association changes when taking into consideration sociodemographic variables such as age group, sex, health, education and income. We will also examine whether depressive symptoms has an effect on the association between religious participation and changes in memory.
