The Canadian Association on Gerontology (CAG) held its 41^st Annual Scientific and Education Meeting in Vancouver from October 18-20, 2012.

The theme of the 2012 conference was "Aging in a Changing World.”

As part of CAG2012, the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA) hosted a symposium, “A Platform for Research to Study Aging in a Changing World,” which included the following presentations:

• The Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging as a platform for research on aging (Susan Kirkland, CLSA co-principal investigator, Dalhousie University)
• They are older now: Building upon the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging to study the health of aging veterans in Canada  (Christina Wolfson, CLSA co-principal investigator, McGill University)
• Consumer Products and Fall-Related Injuries in the CLSA (Lauren Griffith, CLSA associate scientific director, McMaster University)
• Access to Data and Samples Collected in the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging:    Principles, Policies and Procedures (Christina Wolfson, CLSA co-principal investigator, McGill University)
