Ine Wauben
Executive Director, Strategic Initiatives (CLSA & MIRA)
Dr. Ine Wauben is the Executive Director, Strategic Initiatives, of the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA), Canada’s premium platform for research on aging, and McMaster Institute for Research on Aging (MIRA) at McMaster University. As the Managing Director of MIRA, Dr. Wauben leads the implementation of MIRA’s mission to optimize health and longevity of an aging population through leading-edge research, state-of-the-art educational development, and innovative stakeholder collaborations. In her position with the CLSA, she serves as the chief liaison with CLSA’s funding organizations and provides strategic leadership to support the principal and local investigators, advisory groups, scientists, and public and private partners across Canada to position the CLSA as a national research platform for advancing research on aging in Canada and worldwide. In both positions, she builds partnerships to support aging research in Canada and at McMaster University. Prior to joining the CLSA and MIRA teams, Dr. Wauben worked as Business Development Manager, Life Sciences, at McMaster University. She has also held senior positions at Adiga Life Sciences Inc. and the Scientific Research Experimental Development Program of the Federal Government. Dr. Wauben holds a PhD in medical sciences from McMaster University and a B.H.Sc. from Maastricht University in the Netherlands.
