Theresa Pauly is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Gerontology at Simon Fraser University and holds a Canada Research Chair in Social Relationships, Health and Aging. She earned her PhD in Health Psychology from the University of British Columbia and completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Zurich. Her research focuses on lifelong health & wellbeing, daily social interactions, social relationships, health behaviours, and the impacts of climate change on aging. Dr. Pauly employs innovative approaches, such as heart rate monitoring, stress hormone analysis, and daily activity tracking, to examine older adults’ daily lives. She also utilizes longitudinal data such as the CLSA to explore social resources and health risks, with a particular emphasis on equity seeking older adults. Dr. Pauly serves as a site co-lead for the CLSA at Simon Fraser University.
